COST B14 Protocols
After it's first year of operation, the COST B14 Action formed several working groups, each coordinating a COST supported study project. These working groups have elaborated prospective study protocols in their field of interest. These protocols are available for viewing and downloading in the sections linked to from below. All HBO-scientists and other medical professionals are strongly encouraged to participate in these studies - the COST Working Group acting as coordinators.
All these protocols have been prepared according to the HBO Research Quality Guidelines Document prepared by Working Group B (Final Report)

The Working Group 3 "Oncology" prepared the overview of HBO and radiotherapy with the presentation of several protocols for randomized clinical studies. The publication from Strahlentherapie und Onkologie (2005; 181: 113-123) can be freely downloaded (here) thanks to publishers: Springer (www.springerlink.com) and Urban & Vogel GmbH (www.urban-vogel.de).
Other preliminary protocols have been submitted to the Management Committee. Although only five research protocols were chosen to be implemented via a Working Group, many of the other protocols are potentially of great interest to the HBO community. These other, unfinished and (in most cases) draft protocols are listed below. Each protocol has a brief description attached, and an e-mail link to the author or promotor of the protocol.
